According to the Provincial People's Committee, in the exciting atmosphere of the whole country, the province is honored to commence, inaugurate and break ground for 5 important projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

The projects include: traffic opening for Provincial Road 823D Project - New Northwest opening axis connecting Long An - Ho Chi Minh City. This is an important traffic project not only for Duc Hoa district but also a route connecting Long An with Ho Chi Minh City, helping to connect traffic between the two regions of the Mekong Delta and the Southeast region, reducing the cost of transporting goods and passengers as well as promoting the socio-economic development of the province and the region.

According to the Deputy Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board - Tran Thien Truc, the Provincial Road 823D Project has a scale of 14.27km, a roadbed width of 40m, a road surface of 21m, with total investment of 4,849 billion VND. After the construction period, the contractor has basically ensured technical traffic conditions to complete the entire project and put it into operation.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the investor to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of 2 urban residential areas in Ben Luc district, including the Ecology, Trade and Tourism Urban Area Project in Thanh Phu commune on an area of ​​about 220 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 17,000 billion VND. This is one of the large-scale urban area projects combining with tourism, which the investor has committed to complete within 3-3.5 years.

When the project is completed, it will create momentum for socio-economic development, increase budget revenue, create jobs and create a highlight in the urban architecture of the province. The Mai Ba Huong Residential Area Project with a scale of more than 148 hectares and a total investment of 4,030 billion VND will be a project to attract residents and human resources from other provinces to Long An, meeting the human resource needs of adjacent industrial park projects.

Along with that, during this period, the Provincial People's Committee will also organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tandoland Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project in Ben Luc District with a project scale of about 250 hectares and a total investment of 3,144 billion VND; inaugurate the Factory producing accessories and spare parts for the automobile industry in Huu Thanh Industrial Park, Duc Hoa District; start construction of the Memorial Area, Memorial House of Comrade Vo Van Tan, Comrade Vo Van Ngan; renovate and embellish the historical relic of Duc Hoa Crossroads Area to pay tribute to the contributions of revolutionary predecessors as well as educate the tradition of patriotism and revolution for the younger generation.

Expectations to promote socio-economic development

These are all very important projects, greatly impacting the socio-economic development of the district. The project of the Ecology, Trade and Tourism Urban Area Project in Thanh Phu Commune, with a very large total investment, has an important meaning in the future development of the district.

In particular, when the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is completed along with the upgrading and renovation of Provincial Road 830C, it is expected to attract residents, tourism and trade services in accordance with the urban development orientation of the district according to the general planning, especially creating a space for urban development following green and friendly model.

"Along with that, the Mai Ba Huong Residential Area Project is expected to create conditions to attract residents and human resources to meet industrial development for the two adjacent industrial projects, Tandoland and Prodezi, with a total area of ​​650 hectares. These also help expand the space for industrial development in the urban area, creating regional connectivity when the Luong Hoa - Binh Chanh and Huu Thanh - Tan Buu routes are completed, connecting with Ho Chi Minh City and forming a dynamic axis connecting the northern communes of the district with Duc Hoa district and Ho Chi Minh City through the intersection of Ring Road 3, opening up great expectations for the overall development of the district" - Mr. Le Thanh Ut said.

To prepare for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies at 5 projects, the Provincial People's Committee has sent working groups of the province directly to each project for inspection. Up to this point, all preparations have been completed.
