Long An strives to send 2000 workers abroad in 2025

On May 12th , the Department of Home Affairs of Long An province held a conference to deploy the work of sending workers to work abroad under contracts in 2025. Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs - Nguyen Dai Tanh chaired the conference.
The majority of opinions at the conference assessed that the work of sending workers to work abroad under contracts has contributed to changing the awareness of workers, contributing to the overall development of the locality. However, some programs to work abroad for a limited period of time have not been widely and timely disseminated to localities and have not spread strongly in the community.
In 2025, Long An strives to send 2000 workers to work abroad under contracts. To achieve this goal, the Department of Home Affairs will coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise Provincial People's Committee to issue documents directing and managing the effective implementation. At the same time, it will guide agencies, units, localities and workers to prepare payment procedures and settle support funds, especially confirming loan applications for workers working abroad under contracts.
In 2024, Long An province sent 1179 workers to work abroad. Accumulated from 2020 to present, the province has sent 2957 workers to work abroad./
